Concluding chapter of broad ranging discussion of the image, including whether an image can be temporal or whether it can signify or represent time. Makes interesting observations regarding what Lechte sees as the slippages within Deleuze’s Cinema 2 between these two positions (is the crystal of time purely temporal, or do we see time in the crystal?), and considers the reasons for this in relation to the Peircean influence on Deleuze (i.e. if time-images are signs, then are they temporal, or do they signify temporality?).
