Reconsiders and develop's Deleuze's position on the passivity of the child in Cinema 2, by exploring the Italian film Io non ho paura/I'm Not Scared (2003) directed by Gabriele Salvatores. The crique is enabled by Sutton's exploration of the film's consideration of historical events from the 1970s (pp. 357-8).
This work influenced David Martin-Jones' consideration of the child seer in the Argentine melodrama Kamchatka (2002), in Deleuze and World Cinemas.
