Transnational imagination in action cinema: Hong Kong and the making of a global popular culture

Explores action cinema as a form of minor cinema, within a broader argument about how action cinema circulates and imagines identities transnationally. Analyses the film Best of the Best (part 1) as minor action cinema. The concept of the any-space-whatever also makes an appearance around discussion of post-industrial settings to minor action films. Interestingly, also includes discussion of Lukacs and class in minor action cinemas.
